The journal «Chemical Technology» is the successor to the journal «Vestnik KazUTB» - ISSN 2708–4132 (Print), ISSN 2663–1830 (Online), registered with the Republican State Institution “Information Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, registration certificate: No. KZ00VPY00133404dated October 31, 2025.

Chemical Technology Journal is an open access journal with double-blind peer review, published four times a year in three languages: Kazakh, Russian, and English.

The founder and publisher of the journal is K. Kulazhanov Kazakh University of Technology and Business JSC.

The purpose of the journal is to publish and exchange the results of applied research in the fields of chemical technology, ecology, nanotechnology, and materials science. 

The journal aims to become a platform for publishing original and innovative research on the development of advanced, safer, environmentally friendly, sustainable chemical and environmental technologies for achieving carbon neutrality, monitoring, preventing, and controlling pollution, methods for assessing impact and risks with applications in environmental and chemical engineering, waste utilization and management, new materials for environmental, chemical, and energy applications, sustainability and environmental safety, the latest developments in green chemistry, and original work on pollutants of growing concern, persistent chemicals, and priority substances, including microplastics, nanoplastics, nanomaterials, etc.

An important area of the journal's activity is supporting the training of young specialists and professional innovators capable of developing and implementing innovative products.

The journal supports the principles of (Open Science), digital transparency in research, and the use of international standards of publication ethics, and contributes to expanding the possibilities for indexing and citing published works.

Thematic focus of the journal: Chemical engineering, best available technologies, environmentally friendly technologies, nanotechnologies, materials science.
